We help our clients use IT more effectively to achieve their business objectives and improve employee productivity and effectiveness. We serve as either an extension to a firm’s IT team or as the fully outsourced IT department. Our delivery approaches are completely flexible based on client need. We can manage a client-owned technology infrastructure, provide our complete cloud-based infrastructure as a service, or offer a hybrid approach of both approaches. As we continue to add new clients, we will be in need of a Junior Project Manager.

The Junior Project Manager works with other CTN resources to oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific short-term project which has a beginning, an end and specified deliverables.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Junior Project Manager performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Understands the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
  • Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
  • Execute the project according to the project plan
  • Develop forms and records to document project activities
  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
  • Establish a communication schedule to update client stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project
  • Write reports on the project for management (internal and client)
  • Monitor budget to cost expenditures
  • Ensure that all time is entered for the project for cost accounting
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase

Additional Responsibilities include the following to support our sales / account management team:

  • Personal ownership of assigned clients (typically 20 – 150 employee companies with little or no IT staff).
  • Managing the expectations of the client before, during and after projects and engagements
  • Discussing and communicating current state and desired state regarding client internal IT.
  • Write, present, and close proposals to assigned clients reflective of desired state.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for clients helping them to better utilize technology to run and growth their business.
  • Maintain communication with internal leadership regarding issues and trends.
  • Manage new client onboarding process.
  • Assist clients with budget needs.
  • Willingness to travel locally.

Skill and Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in project management and/or client management.
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Candidate should be comfortable making and communicating recommendations and action plans to clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write and present project proposals to clients.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • A four year college degree.
